Held in the Vanishing Has a Release Date

For years it lived only in journals. On August 4, 2026, Held in the Vanishing arrives — a memoir gathered for caregivers everywhere who long to feel seen.

The cover of Held in the Vanishing — two figures walking a path into the mist.

For a long time, this book existed only in notebooks, scattered pages, and conversations with myself. I never imagined that one day it would have a publication date—or that people I had never met would someday hold it in their hands.

On August 4, 2026, Held in the Vanishing will be released.

Turning my journal entries and vivid memories into a memoir was never my intention.

Then, one Saturday morning in early 2025, I began rereading six years of journals. As I moved through those pages, I realized they held more than my own story. They held the quiet, often invisible experience of caregiving in a way I rarely encountered elsewhere. In that moment, I knew I needed to gather them into a memoir—not only for myself and my family, but for caregivers everywhere who long to feel seen.

If this memoir speaks to you, I’d be honored to have you join me when it arrives.
